Me Like Soup!

Standard

Have you ever been busy hustling around the kitchen when KA-POW! your pressure cooker blew? There you are, having a totally nice afternoon with the vegetable soup on the simmer and the next second a big organic bomb blows up and you’ve got yourself a total kitchen ceiling redo, something retro, referencing the psychedelic hippy tie-dyed sixties. Oh yes, this was supposed to be about me… Well, that did in fact happen to me, (not the psychedelic bit in the sixties, but the exploding soup!) and it just now came to mind as an apt description of the reason why I need a blog! I’ve been on the simmer for far too long now and there’s lots of good stuff inside that’s totally done. I’d say “done like dinner” but that’s usually not a great way to describe one’s potential for positive forward momentum! Anyhow, as I said, I’m like that pot full of simmering soup… Well, not quite, that pot was just a little too full of it! I love to write, have always loved to write and have the expectation of enjoying sharing myself with you, with a delicious melange (snooty chef word for mixture, but spelled wrong) of life experience. And if I don’t release a little of that creativity from time to time I’m definitely going to flip my lid, blow my stack or injure somebody, so here goes…

About Yvonne's Musings

Being the second of eight kids born in 11 years to my busy parents ultimately was a real advantage to me. I learned very early that if you wanted to be heard amidst all the noise the best way to accomplish it was to write your thoughts down. My first post to my mother," i hate skool. i cried at skool tooday!" was stuck with ABC chewing gum to the lid of the diaper pail, where I was certain that she would find it. Her attention quickly elicited in me a love of writing that has been life long. Seeking a wider audience I have decided to now, decades later, blog. Happy reading Mom! This is for you!
